Tournament Format
The championship is structured across two stages. Stage 1 uses a double-elimination group format, with 64 players per division competing across multiple brackets simultaneously. Stage 2 advances the top 16 players into a single-elimination final bracket. Matches are played on professional JOY Billiards Heyball tables using LiberWin cloth and WPA Unity balls, consistent with international regulations.

The Boda8o Heyball Championship aligns with the 2026 Asian Heyball Open, the continent's premier continental event sanctioned by the World Pool Association (WPA) and the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS). Held at the Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam, the Asian Heyball Open 2026 brought together 128 players from 31 countries and regions, with each gender division awarding USD 58,000 in prize money.
The 2026 Asian Heyball Open Opening Ceremony was attended by YB Mordi Bimol, Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports, and Tan Sri Dr. Norza Zakaria, President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia, underlining the sport's growing prestige.
